When I first caught a glimpse of the Chocolate Silk Royale Pie from Alaska Silk Pie Company, I knew it would be good. It had to be! Chocolate Ganache, Chocolate Mousse, and Chocolate Silk sit regally on a chocolate cookie crust. Topped with dark chocolate shavings, this royal treat looks divine. After the first bite, I began to realize how dangerous this dessert can be. This silk pie is creamy and rich, but not so rich that I had to stop after one slice. That's the problem! It didn't sit heavy on my stomach and I could eat a generous slice...and want more! Without restraint, I could finish this pie and not feel like I wanted to die afterwards. Of course I might when I stepped on the scale. Alaska Silk Pie Company offers American made desserts at a very affordable price. Order online and take immediate precautions when you see the delivery driver walk towards your door. Resist looking in the box or you will surely be tempted to eat it right away! Place it in your freezer! Call your neighbors, friends, or family ASAP. Ask them to arrive early the next morning. Before their arrival, thaw your silk pie! Within a few hours, you'll end up with a few crumbs, nothing more. Follow my advice and you won't be looking at those crumbs alone, if you know what I mean!
To Disclose: I was sent a silk pie in order to complete my review. Honest opinions given. No monetary compensation received.
