I love play-doh. Unfortunately, I have no idea what's in it. With all the scares and toxic substances found in toys these days, I tend to err on the side of caution. Better safe than sorry, right? I could not stand the thought of depriving my children of the joys of creating with clay, so I searched high and low to find a safe option. Eco-dough, made by eco-kids, is the perfect alternative! If eco-dough dries out a little, simply add a few drops of veggie/flax or olive oil and rework it. It will bounce back! After about 3 days, remove the dried layer and the inside should be good. If your eco-dough ends up in the carpet, just sprinkle some warm water on it and work it out with a sponge. No need to worry about stains! When you are ready to dispose of it, toss it in your compost pile. If you can't reuse your container, throw it in the compost pile too and it will be back in the environment in 180 days!
