The True Easy Syringe

As a nurse, I know the importance of accurate dosing. I hate using those medicine cups that come with liquid medication. I never know how much of the medication is lost because it ended up stuck to the cup. The True Easy Syringe started as the idea of a caring mother searching for an easier method to accurately measure and give medicine to her children. As a result of this inspiration, the True Easy’s 2-step dose accuracy was developed. In the 1st step of True Easy’s dose accuracy, the correct dosage is selected using a color coded dial. Once the dose is selected, the plunger is pulled back and stops at the selected dose, thereby eliminating any guesswork about the ‘right dose’. The 2nd step is to visually verify the amount of fluid in the syringe against the easy to read calibrations. Once the accurate dose is verified, the oversized grip and plunger on True Easy make it easy to hold and control the flow of fluid to ensure the entire dose is administered.

I found the syringe very easy to use. I practiced using colored water and and then after my little one became sick, I had the chance to test it out. He didn't object to this new method of taking medicine. I think if your little one doesn't cooperate, less medication would be wasted because of this wonderful medication medication delivery system. I've had countless "cups" of medication spilled when my kids decided to refuse a dose and with this, all you need to do is stop pushing the plunger and the medication stays safe inside the barrel of the syringe. The syringe fit comfortably in my hand and I had complete control.

The need for the True Easy Syringe is best exemplified by a study reported in the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine that found only 67% of caregivers accurately measured the amount of over-the-counter medications they intended.  “As caregivers we understand the challenge of caring for a sick child and hope True Easy’s 2-step dose accuracy helps provide peace of mind during a stressful time”, commented Brendan Leonard, president of Health Enterprises, Inc.
