Party With Nutella!

Several years ago, I bought this Ebelskiver Filled-Pancake Pan from Williams-Sonoma. I thought it was really neat and I couldn't wait to use it. When I received it, I put it in the cabinet and forgot all about it. Fast forward a few years... I was contacted to host a Mommy Party featuring Nutella. Oooohhh. Can you tell where this is going?
My long forgotten pan was immediately rescued from the dark depths of my cabinets. I whipped up a pancake batter and filled each little depression until it was over half full. I dropped about half of a teaspoon (maybe more!) of Nutella into each and then covered it with more batter. If you try this, be sure to allow the batter to firm up slightly (from cooking) before adding Nutella. If not, it will sink to the bottom!
I flipped each one when the bottom began to brown.  Afterwards I removed them from the pan and dusted (a little heavily) with powdered sugar! Now, my guests would dine on pancakes and enjoy the delightful surprise inside! And guess what? No one needed a dose of syrup to drown their pancakes! Nutella made these filled pancakes a new favorite and I can't wait to make more! Want some advice? Make extras because they will be gone before you know it!
Nutella has been a favorite of Europeans for decades, and when used in moderation with complementary foods, Nutella® is a quick and easy tool to encourage kids to eat whole grains, such as whole wheat toast, English muffins, toaster waffles and bagels. Nutella® hazelnut spread is a terrific option for individuals with peanut allergies. The spread does not contain peanuts or peanut ingredients, nor does the product come in contact with peanuts during manufacturing. Nutella® is comparable to other popular breakfast spreads and is the perfect alternative for all those finicky eaters in your household.
Nutella is thicker than peanut butter, so it made the perfect filling. You can use Nutella in so many ways, it's even terrific right out of the jar! I'm thinking about using it as a filling for the birthday cake I will make for Logan and Sam's Birthday Bash next month! What can I say, I'm addicted!
Disclosure: I was chosen by MomSelect to participate in MommyParties! I was provided a jar of Nutella and gift bags.
