I love educational toys. Logan loves them too! When I was contacted by Project Play Smart and asked to review a product, I couldn't wait! Our pick? Smart Lab Squishy You Explore It Human Body. It's a hands-on kit with removable squishy vital organs as well as representative skeletal, vascular and muscular systems! Logan can explore the complex inner workings of the human body and literally see how they all go together! The organs feel a little like putty, but they aren't messy and you can wash them off if they get dirty. It was really fun to sit down and complete a project with Logan. The organs are a tight fit, but you'll have absolutely no problem getting them in place. It does lack a few body systems, mainly the reproductive system. It would have been nice to have a set for girls and boys included in the set and allow kids to learn about their own different "parts."
The kit is really neat and I think we will be able to use it long-term. The tweezers are plastic, and may need to be replaced at some point, but everything else looks like it will hold up. Logan has played with his set about every other day since it arrived. I'm glad because he's learning while having fun. He enjoys quizzing me on his findings and also asking me to go into further detail about various systems. That's when we break out the medical books and really get involved. With both parents in healthcare, he has plenty of encouragmentt. I may have a future doctor on my hands! Thanks Project Play Smart for the learning tool that inspired my son!
