It Begins with Heart

When Calls the Heart It Begins with Heart
AVAILABLE NOW IN CHRISTIAN RETAIL

Throughout high school, I remember going to Nana's house and looking through her bookcase. Most often I would find tales of the Amish and titles by Janette Oke. Those books were my introduction to Christian literature. A longtime Hallmark Movie Channel Fan, I was delighted to discover some of the titles had made their way to film. It's nice to watch something wholesome and entertaining that leaves you feeling good when it's over. When Calls The Heart: It Begins With Heart, is a movie I chose to watch with my mom because she enjoys them as much as I do. Erin Krakow (loved her in Army Wives) is a schoolteacher on the frontier. She is a romantic at heart with a wonderful wardrobe for someone living the frontier life. Daniel Lissing (WOW!) looks great in a uniform and is the perfect match for Erin's character.
This story deals with a few different plots. The big one is a small little lie that grew into something bigger. There is another character that steals. Jealousy, betrayal and trust are all issues. This movie teaches valuable lessons about truth and forgiveness, and about what is really important. It did make me impatient for one thing though. Why aren't some of these people getting married!? I'm hooked on this series now because the characters are charming and easy to love. I want to know what happens next and I am still wondering what is going to happen in their lives.

Synopsis:
From celebrated author Janette Oke (The Love Comes Softly series) comes a rigorous and romantic adventure as epic as the wide frontier. Erin Krakow (Army Wives), Daniel Lissing (Eye Candy), Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210) and Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) star in When Calls The Heart: It Begins With Heart, an especially romantic film originally broadcast under the title, A New Year's Kiss.
In the days before the big New Year's Eve celebration, Hope Valley sees some unpredictable resolutions. For instance, Abigail sets out to catch whoever's been stealing from her kitchen – and finds herself in charge of two orphans in the process.
Elizabeth resolves to take charge of Jack's dog, Rip, in an attempt to remedy Rip's apparent jealousy of their relationship. Rosemary is determined to win a San Francisco Herald essay contest about a "real frontier family"... and has to pose as Lee's wife when a reporter from the paper shows up. And Bill Avery tries his best to convince Jack that he's not the one who should be behind bars for counterfeiting.
Meanwhile, two visitors in town ponder sticking around and causing trouble for both Jack and Pastor Frank!

Disclosure: I received this DVD in exchange for my honest opinion. A positive review was not required.
