Make Great BBQ Without All The Work!

I love BBQ! There's nothing like pork, smoked and pulled, then drenched in rich tangy sauce. It's hard to find good BBQ, even in a restaurant. I've made it at home and I've ordered it from different places, I just never tried BBQ that I could buy from a grocery store. Until recently! I was sent a package of Byron's BBQ to try. Boy was it good! I opened the box and baked the BBQ in the oven until it was hot! I served it on buns, because I had some on hand. Most of the pork was shredded, but there were a few larger chunks of pork, which I liked! The sauce was mild and sweet, just the way I like it and it left a hint of heat on my tongue. That's why they make iced tea! I will definitely order more when I am in the mood for some really good BBQ!

Asian Meatballs

Serves 8


1 bottle (8 ounces) Sonny’s Authentic Sizzlin’ Sweet Bar-B-Q Sauce

1 can crushed pineapple, with juice

1 ½ teaspoons sugar

1 pound frozen, fully cooked Casa Di Bertacchi Meatballs



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, pineapple and sugar. Place meatballs in a deep, 8x8-inch baking dish and pour sauce mixture over top. Bake, uncovered, for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly. Serve over hot cooked rice and garnish with crunchy chow mein noodles. Alternatively, place meatballs in a slow cooker prepared with nonstick cooking spray. Spoon sauce mixture over meatballs. Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3 hours.



Layered BBQ Salad

Serves 8


3 cups Byron’s Fully Cooked Pork BBQ, warmed according to package directions

1 can baked beans

2 cups colorful coleslaw

1 bag (10 ounces) frozen whole kernel corn, thawed

2 cups green bell pepper, diced

Pickled okra for garnish



Heat baked beans on the stove on medium heat until warm (about 5 minutes), stirring occasionally. Layer bottom of a serving dish with the heated baked beans, followed by an even layer of corn kernels and then a layer of green bell peppers. Place an even layer of BBQ on top of the bell peppers, followed by the coleslaw. Place pickled okra on top for garnish.
